Skagway Tour

White Pass Summit & Yukon Suspension Bridge

A 3.5-hour Klondike Highway tour that carries you over the White Pass and across the Yukon Suspension Bridge — with time to walk, read the interpretive signs, and sip a hot drink over swift river rapids.

3.5h duration Easy level adults from $119 kids from $109

Highlights

  • Walk the Yukon Suspension Bridge over the Tutshi River
  • Solid railings and enclosed design — comfortable even if heights make you uneasy
  • 60 minutes at the bridge to walk, explore, and enjoy the café
  • Try the bison chili (highly recommended)
  • White Pass Summit photo stop at 3,292 feet
  • Interpretive signs about the Mounties who kept order on the Gold Rush route
  • Clean restrooms at the bridge — the only ones on the highway

Skagway’s busy little port falls away behind you as the road begins to climb, trading the bawdy frontier town for glacier-carved valleys and distant peaks. This is a quieter kind of adventure — beautiful and relaxing — as the Klondike Highway carries you deeper into Canada and along the swift, fast-moving Tutshi River.

Where stampeders once rushed north, desperate to reach the Klondike gold fields, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police stood their posts, insisting on order and a year’s worth of supplies before anyone could pass. Today you stroll across the Yukon Suspension Bridge, safely suspended above the rapids, reading interpretive signs about those same officers and gold seekers while you sip a hot drink, breathe in the mountain air, and let the sound of the river do the talking.
