Tiny paws, big dreams. This tour starts in historic Skagway, where your guide sets the scene of the Klondike Gold Rush and the sled dogs that made such a harsh journey possible. A great dog was worth its weight in gold, and training started young — in the arms of hopeful breeders who wondered, “Could this be the dog that takes me all the way and back?”

You’ll follow the Klondike Highway into the mountains to a remote sled dog camp, sharing the same route and timing as our Yukon Sled Dogs tour — but your experience centers on “awww moments.” At camp, you’ll meet Alaskan Husky puppies, cuddle them, learn about their pedigrees, and maybe hold a future race winner in your arms before heading back down the mountain.

Good to know

This is the SAME bus and route as the Yukon Sled Dogs tour. The only difference is puppy play time vs. the dog cart ride. Guests traveling together who don’t want the cart ride can book this tour and ride the same bus.

No passport, no tour, no kidding. Every Skagway Tours route crosses into Canada. Arriving without your passport means riding straight back to the ship, and missed tours aren’t refundable.
